5 Steps to Set & Reach Your Real Estate Goals in 2025 as a Busy Realtor Mom

12/30/2024

Balancing the demands of your career and motherhood isn’t easy, but that doesn’t mean your big real estate goals have to take a backseat. Whether you’re striving for more closings, better time management, or just a business that fits your life, the right strategies can help you get there without sacrificing precious moments with your family.

In this post, I’m breaking down five practical steps to help you crush your real estate goals in 2025 while still showing up for the people who matter most. Let’s make this your year to thrive in business and at home! 💪

5 Steps to Hit Your Real Estate Goals in 2025 Without Sacrificing Family Time

Step #1: Get Clear on Your Vision (What Does Success Look Like to YOU?)

Before diving into what is definitely going to be another busy year, take a moment to pause and define what success really looks like for you in 2025. As a mom, your real estate goals might look a little different from others in the industry—and that’s okay!!!

Just because you see me working my butt off to sell 400 homes in my first 4 years does not mean that YOU need to do that! Success looks different for everyone. So focus on setting real estate goals for yourself that actually align with your life and your bigger vision—not just someone else’s.

Step #2: Set Your Life AND Real Estate Goals

We so often get caught up in magic revenue numbers—dreaming of what we’d hit in a perfect world but not thinking too far beyond that. I’m here to remind you that success starts with clarity, mama!

That’s why I’m a big fan of following the “SMART goals” structure. Basically, this means we’re setting real estate goals (and life goals) that are:

  1. Specific
  2. Measurable
  3. Achievable
  4. Relevant
  5. Time-bound

Here’s the thing: Your real estate business isn’t just about contracts and closings—it’s a vehicle to help you achieve what truly matters to you in life. Think about it: What are your goals for yourself and your family outside of your career?

Do you dream of spending more weekends at the soccer field cheering on your kids? Taking that bucket-list trip to Disney? Just feeling less stressed when you finally log off for family dinner?

When you align your real estate goals with you and your family’s life goals, every milestone becomes more meaningful.

Here are two examples of how to bridge the gap between typical goals and SMART goals:

Typical goal: “I want to make more money.”

SMART goal: “I will close 12 transactions by December 2025 by focusing on Instagram marketing and referrals from my existing client base so I can take my family on a 10-day vacation next summer.”

Typical goal: “I want to work less.”

SMART goal: “I will reduce my time spent in evening client meetings 50% by implementing better scheduling boundaries by March so I can be home for bedtime stories at least four nights a week.”

At the end of the day, your real estate goals should support your life goals. It’s about building a business that lets you live the life you’re working so hard for!

Step #3: Master Time Management

Let’s face it—time is every realtor mom’s most valuable (and limited) resource. Finding enough hours in the day to hit the real estate goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year can start to feel like mission impossible.

One of the best ways I’ve personally found to manage my time is by implementing block scheduling or “time blocking” throughout my day.

How it works: Instead of trying to squeeze tasks into random pockets of time, divide your day into focused blocks—like mornings for lead generation, mid-day for client appointments, and evenings for family.

Pro Tip: Don’t be afraid to delegate where you can! Whether it’s hiring a virtual assistant for admin work or using grocery delivery to save time at home, outsourcing tasks that don’t require you specifically can make a huge difference.

Step #4: Build a Supportive Network

Sometimes, being a mom in real estate can start to feel isolating. But you’re not alone—there are many of us on this journey as realtor moms striving to hit our biggest real estate goals while also building the lives we dream of for our families.

When you surround yourself with other real estate moms who really get it, amazing things start to happen. Not only will you pick up fresh strategies and valuable insights from women balancing the same priorities, but you’ll also find yourself inspired by their wins and motivated to step out of your comfort zone to try new approaches.

That’s exactly why I created MOMward: Real Estate Mastery—a community of like-minded moms in real estate designed to provide accountability, encouragement, and inspiration alongside weekly strategies and coaching.

As you think about your real estate goals for 2025, consider who will be in your corner throughout the year to help you get there. If you feel like you’re missing that supportive network to have your back, cheer you on, and hold you accountable, we would SO love to have you join us inside MOMward (I’ll keep a seat warm for ya 😘).

Step #5: Work on Your Mindset

Your mindset is one of the most powerful tools you have for reaching your goals. Tweaking the way you think so your mind actually works for you is a MUST!

Instead of letting self-doubt, comparison, or overwhelm take the wheel in 2025, try to focus these three mindset shifts to start:

  1. Focus on progress, not perfection. Some days, just showing up is a win! Celebrate the small steps forward, because they’re what add up to the big successes over time.
  2. Reframe challenges as opportunities. Did a deal fall through? Did you get a no from a client? Instead of letting it bring you down, ask yourself: “What can I learn from this?” Every setback is a chance to grow stronger and more resilient.
  3. Visualize your future self. Take 2 minutes each day to picture what success looks like for you. This keeps your goals front and center, even when life feels hectic.

The good news is, you don’t need to overhaul your whole routine to make mindset work a priority. Instead, think of it as sprinkling small but intentional habits into your day to keep you focused, motivated, and on track to crushing your real estate goals.
