How it started
I had every reason to fail. I decided not to.
2020. Brand new state. Brand new baby. And absolutely nothing else working in my favor.
Jordan and I had just relocated from North Carolina to South Carolina
I had zero real estate experience and zero local connections
We had $1 to our name after paying my NAR dues — which meant $0 for paid leads
I had just become a first-time mom to my beautiful baby girl, Reese
We couldn't yet afford childcare — so Reese came everywhere with me
To say I had no idea if this was going to work would be an understatement.
But I showed up anyway. Every single day. Baby on my hip, laptop open, Reese on my lap during virtual consultations and in my arms at showings.
My first year was one of the hardest of my life. I was learning a brand new industry while battling postpartum anxiety and trying to be a present mom at the same time.
But I kept going. Because I had to. And because I knew it was not just about me anymore.
That belief changed everything.
Despite everything I had “working against me” at the time, I knew I had to find a way to succeed in real estate. Literally!!
We had a new baby and bills to pay—I had no other choice than to go all in on myself and my business so I could provide for my family.
My first year in real estate was one of the hardest (and easily most exhausting) of my life, as I put in seemingly endless hours trying to learn the intricate ropes of real estate while battling postpartum anxiety.
I had no idea what I was doing, but just like you, I was determined. So, with baby in tow (we couldn’t yet afford childcare), I kept pushing. Nothing was going to stop me from giving my daughter the life I knew she deserved—not even her pulling my hair while sitting in my lap during our virtual consultations. 😂
(Yep, I unapologetically brought little Reese along to almost all my showings!)
The Messy Beginning

I figured it out.
Not overnight. Not without struggle. But I figured it out.
I built relationships through social media — Instagram, Facebook, genuine connection — and doubled my pipeline organically every single year without spending a cent on leads.
By the end of my first year I had closed 28 homes as a solo agent.
Then I kept going.
86 in year 2. Then I sold 145 homes as a solo agent. Eventually, I built a micro-team and after that a full team! I got myself completely out of production in two years. I even took a real maternity leave with my second baby.
Jordan retired from the army and came to work alongside me. Multiple income streams. Five figures a month in passive income.
I built a $1M+/year real estate business in 5 years from scratch — without paid leads, without a team handing me business, and without sacrificing my family to do it.

How I Made it Work

While I was building my real estate business I was sharing the journey on Instagram. Every stage. Every win. Every hard lesson.
And moms in real estate started watching. Then asking. Then reaching out wanting to know how I was doing it.
I realized the steps I had taken were repeatable. The strategy worked. And I had something to teach.
So I started coaching. And I realized almost immediately — this was it. This was what God had been preparing me for all along.
Not just the production. The purpose on the other side of it.
Taley Hunt Coaching was born. And it has never stopped growing.

Jordan works alongside me. We invest. We travel. We are intentional about our kids' childhood in a way that only became possible because of the years we spent building.
I built my perfect version of this business. And now I spend every single day helping other moms build theirs.

God put it on my heart to show her how. And I take that seriously every single day.
